I had a holiday in Tunisia and i was shocked my younger sister wears a scarf and was ridiculed by local Tunisian men nearly everday that we were there. Thay said things like are you a terroist? is that why u wear a scarf. I was disgusted hearing this in a muslim country from muslim peopleTunisia might be the most successful north african country but at what price?

I'm morrocan and I can say that morroco especially the berbers(amazigh)people, like people in marrakesh aren't fundamental. If they were they wouldn't make music, nor dance nor believe in the power of nature. And western people are very welcom to visit, they would even be very happy that a western someone visits an easy and not so very special country as morocco!

When there are problems they are more to do with poverty, feudalism and imperialism rather than religion. You are probably safer in Marrakech than in Paris, but it depends which quarters you enter.

what is the morroc islam like ?more fundamental/islamistic or more tribal/sufi-mystic ?Are western/not religious people welcome to visit or even live in moroccor are the locals throwing stones when theysee them ?

But Morocco is more beautiful than Tunisia though & is the most "democratic" of all Arab countries! Plus, there is no freedom of expression in Tunisia!!!

In Morocco the rich, which includes the army generals, are very rich. The poor are very poor. I suspect that fake terror is sometimes used to justify crackdowns and keep the rich in power. The USA, France and Israel want to keep the Moroccan government as an ally; but the poor are very angry. The King's government has to act fast to provide jobs and higher pay. Tunisia has been the most successful North African country.
