Get a clue. Duran wasn't even a natural welterweight and he beat him...at his peak...while Leonard had the title!!!! If Tommy Hearns had a chin he'd have beat him. He boxed Leonard's ears off (he did in the second fight also). Ray was tough as hell though. I truely think he fought better flat-footed than dancing and boxing. The Davey Boy Green fight, Duran I, Hearns,etc. he always looked good when he planted his feet and threw.

What people don't realize is that Ray could also take a good punch. I saw Hearns crack him with 3 hard right hands and Ray still did not get knocked out. He got knocked down, but continued on like nothing ever happened. How many people do you know that could take Tommys right hand 3 times.

The only welter that could beat Leonard at his peak is Robinson, but for that matter Leonard is the only welter that could beat Robinson at his peak. How many undefeated champions did Leonard stop in his career?

Leonard might have a harder time against Mayweather. But he would tear Miguel Cotto a new asshole.

Leonard would beat any welterweight today IMO. Cotto and Mayweather are excellent boxers but Leonard can do everything they do and he would have a noticable size advantage over them. Margarito is tough as hell and determined but he isn't that much bigger than SRL so he wouldn't be able to bully him like he did Cotto--Leonard would box circles around him for 12 rounds. SRL KOs Judah for sure, too big and he does everything Zab does only better.

Leonard would beat Margarito easily. Margarito doesn't have that much of a size advantage. Leonard way too fast smart tough powerful, you name it. Hearns would beat Margarito too. He'd probably KO or stop him cause I don't care if you have the best chin in boxing history, you are not taking flush right hands again and again from Hearns at 147and surviving. Margarito has a great chin but Hearns had one of the best right hands ever.
