Yeah, I got them from a high dollar hotel. Brought them home in my luggage, great gift I brought home for the family. If you travel, I would look into a product called packtite. I use on my luggage after every trip. Best thing is that it uses heat, no pesticides. Unfortunately, they are everywhere and cleanliness doesn't matter and won't stop them.

bed bugs are not bothered about your personal hygine or your house keeping they are after your blood pure and simple..we got them from a hotel i stayed at in london wife and son started coming out in big red marks all over their bodies went to doctors got creams nothing worked..watching news one night about 6 weeks later their was an item on about bed bugs infesting hotels and public transport

Also, I can understand how moving into an apartment can be a problem. Fleas can also live for months in an empty apartment or house.

If bed bugs don't come from being dirty, then where and how do you get them? I've never had any, but I don't live in an old apartment either. I would think that starting with a clean new mattress, keeping the bed linen clean and taking a bath before going to bed would greatly prevent getting bed bugs. I always use bleach when washing the bed sheets and pillow cases. I also use a mattress cover.

it gets worse. i've been batteling centipedes for a couple years. i was getting stung by centipedes every night in my sleep. recently, i found out that the centipedes were not after me. they were after the bed bugs in my bed. people are just collateral damage of centipedes. Check my video 'Centipede Style', and let me know what you think.
