So, rock music has been around since the 50s, & theres still alot of originality in it even after 50+ years. The bands take all their influences & create their own sounds & images. And its still growing & exanding. They keep pushing the limits of what can be done & create new styles. Rap/hip-hop artists right now are just doing whats popular, they need to start start exploring with different ideas & that to me seems to be the problem with rap, its lost most of its creativity & innovation.

See thats the problem with rap/hip-hop right now, its all about popularity. So now the artists are just copying musical & visual formulas just to be popular & on the charts & get money. And then the people go, well if its popular, it must be good, they basically jump on the bandwagon. And thats the sad thing about rap today. Dont try to like the same music just because one of your friends likes it, dont listen to whatevers popular so you'll fit in, listen to what YOU & you alone like.
