This video is a flagrant lie. Mercury vapors are heavier than air, thus they would sink to the floor. These are clearly water vapors. Take ANY tooth and dip it in water and you'll have the same effect. This video is complete garbage.

SSparks555...I am actually a military dentist and apologize that whomever you saw did not offer you a choice. It is widely considered malpractice for a dentist not to offer you amalgam and composite, (tooth-colored) fillings, to restore your tooth. Anyway, replace them with composite and it'll be like you're getting your teeth back!

Where in Restorative Dental Materials does it state that amalgam restorations has 750 mg/Hg?

If it's mercury vapor, then it'll permeate thru your skin also. Dr. Kennedy stated in his comments no amount is safe. How come no one is wondering why proper attire isn't being worn esp. the sucker holding the smoking tooth?

I have several mercury/ lead fillings put in while I was in the military, so I really did not have a choice or I would have passed on the whole thing. The question I have is: What do I use as a substitue, when I have these fillings removed?

I just had a thought to put this comment in perspective. Imagine how little material would evaporate off a fraction of a drop of something so that the fraction of a drop would take 2054 years to evaporate. Now consider the video above again. Please don't get me wrong, 10 micrograms of mercury might be terribly bad for you, and that might be coming off your teeth daily. All I am saying is that we are not seeing mercury vapor in this video.

Please see video response 'Beautiful truth(excerpts)' for clarification.

Lol.... wait until they start saying I am on the dole of corporate paymasters. That's when things really get exciting!

What is coming off the tooth in this vid is casting a shadow, just like the tester's fingers. Notice 1:57 the tester takes the tooth away from the light filter and puts it in front of the regular UV light. The tooth still smokes. AAS certainly is a great analytic technique. Is that what is really being done in THIS video? Doesn't AAS usually involve computers, not holding a tooth up to a light? Also, there is no control in this experiment, hold a wet unfilled tooth up and let's see if it smokes.

I want everyone reading this to try to and appreciate how small 10 micrograms actually is. 1 gram is essentially a drop. The mercury in a filling is a fraction of that. 10 micrograms is a tiny fraction of that... spread over a whole day. I am trying to say that the vapor in THIS vid isn't mercury. We are seeing a substance pouring off this tooth. 10 micrograms would be a tiny fraction of a fraction of the vapor here. Perhaps 10 µg/day does come off of fillings... that's not what we see here.
