When I was in 7th grade, I worked in the school library. They had just a few "film strips" if any of you guys remember those from back in the day, anyway CLOSED MONDAYS was one on them and I watched it about a million times. To discover it again on YouTube was AWESOME! Thank you so much I love this short and thought I would never see it again. This is truly a great work.

I don't knoooow! I want to, but I also want to make music. Whatever pays the bills is what I'm gonna have to do.

Wow. Bickford is amazing. Some of the greatest stop-motion of all time. Are you still animating?

This is true; I trained under Bickford, and he's been a great influence on my work.Vinton went more mainstream than Bickford, though, who didn't have a desire to produce commercial art. Doing music videos for Zappa were as close as he wanted to get.

NIGHT FLIGHT showed this in early 1980s; had to wait till 11? p.m. on weekends to see stuff like this, on USA channel, before lousy nbc bought it, and whole cable channels went downhill. In early '80s there was actually offbeat stuff like this on cable tv.

A classic. I've shown this to several people and they've all been impressed. |
