No one in a successful, and famous band is a "joke". I'm a musician, and I've come to realize it's the collective contributions that make the magic. It's chemistry without a doubt--a balance--a little bit of this, a lot of that. Mike Love is not the big composer, or the world's best singer. But his vocal character and nuance is an essential part of the Beach Boy's magic!

Beach boys = americansBeatles = EnglishWhy are you comparing apples to oranges???I prefer the Beatles of course but they both are musical geniuses that changed the course of the musical world!

Dude thats what I was saying below. Im saying that Brian Wilson was great, but he isn't as good a songwriter of either Lennon or Macca. Wilson is an amazing producer though.
