marty Robbins was, in my opinion one of the most under-rated artists of the 20th century..he was so versatile with an amazing voice and diction.

thank you for that. I had a hard time finding the names of the backup singers. The harmony is so perfect, It's astounding, and an engineer could never get a mix so perfect as those 3 themselves.

The movie is 'The Road To Nashville.'Marty's back up singers were Bobby Sykes aka Bob Bishop and Don Winters. The guitarist on the 'Devil Woman' 45 was Grady Martin, but on here it is Marty's longtime guitarist Jack Pruett.Why was his voice so great?It was smooth, emotional and he could use it like a musical instrument breaking out into the most wonderful falsetto. Nobody else ever sounded like him; he was unique.

i looove Marty ever since i was knee high 2 a grasshopper- this is originally a carribean folk song by way of the former british colonies- what a soothing throaty voice- that's how you feel the emotion in his songs
