Nelson Freire is a great musician, a great poet of the piano and supporting all that he is a great pianist. He should be an international cult figure as Rubinstein or Horowitz were. Have you heard him play Rachmaninov's 4th concerto? Up there with Rach himself and Michelangeli. What a beautiful sound Freire gets from the piano and such clarity of texture. The BBC critics voted his Chopin Sonata 2 the best on record. Freire is one of THE GREAT PIANISTS. This Rach 3 is beautiful.

No no no no no no no!!!! Con grandissimo respetto Nelson Friere è veramente un pianista meraviglioso, ma la più grande di pianisti Barsiliani (oppure di tutto il mondo) è stata Guiomar Novaes. La sa, lei?
