zimmer is a great composer and one of my favourite soundtracks is the red thin line.

not serving a real purpose? I BEG to differ. Hans is more concerned with PSYCHOLOGY with his music than anything else. And that is the purpose of film music. As much as i respect composers with great musicology, psychology is still the first place of business in film music. Listen the Dark Knight. I hate people who criticize film music aesthetics when in only actual fact they're obviously only interested in listening to its surface.

How amusing it is to watch you ignorant fools squabble. Back and forth. Your word's full of sound and fury. You really have no basis for anything you say.

Aww damn he was in my hometown of Bonn to see Beethoven's house?

You are an ignoramus. How about you do some sociographic study on Zimmer's influence on artists and composers before you start to say shit like that. Zimmer has the single most influence on film composers in history. JOHN WILLIAMS HIMSELF said that in an interview. DO RESEARCH on topics, just because its your view, doesn't mean its right.

I never said Hans Zimmer was good or bad. What you think of Uwe Bolls is another matter. However, Hans Zimmer is the musical equivalent of Uwe Bolls. Or pubes on a blowup doll. Decorative, but not serving a real purpose.

all i can say is his soundtracks more often than not add to a movies appeal!!for eg the new king kong movie needed a strong soundtrack like hans zimmer could do to help it along,it didnt..boring!!thats why i felt let down with it and it dragged!these guys like williams and morricone add to the movie and sometimes make it a classic!more please? |
