losing my religion is a coloquialism which means to lose that which one holds dear, so here it means he lost catherine, who he held most dear and who he is devoted too (like how in religion you are devoted to and hold what you worship dear)

I liked Ralph Finnes as Heathcliff, he has just the right amount of intensity and passion, but I wasnt too sure about French Julette Binoche as Cathy. She does have a meloncholic sadness about her which is appropriate for Cathy but she does look very French. |
