I've always thought that Beany was effeminate. In fact, so was the whole cast. And there was odd fetishism going on.

This is the ONLY cartoon I have ever seen of Beany & cecil. And it was only several years ago, on The Bob Clampett Show. Thanks for bringing it back.

When I was a kid, this was my favorite show! I had my own beany hat, and wore it whenever I watched.Thank god for YouTube, so we can all be kids again!!

I have had much pleasure with these cartoons. I'd thought Snidley Whiplash of Dudley Do-Right said, "Nyah, hah hah!" I still like Beany and Cecil.Although I'd watch it with the word "gay", I found this episode a great escape. I'd love to know how Beany and Cecil met, or didn't Bob Clampett ever reveal it?Then we were looking forward to the 21st century and landing on the moon. In sharp contrast, we've been regressing to the 19th century since 1980. Pehaps it will end soon!

This cartoon is a delightful gem. And, rather ahead of its time when you consider the jabs it takes at Disney, which probably went right over most of its youthful audiences' heads... that sort of thing is fairly commonplace now with Pinky and the Brain, et al, but then? Hmm.Ah, even so. It's very lighthearted jabbing at that. Nyah-ha-ha! Five stars.

I used to love this show as a kid. As young as 6 I used to watch this on saturday mornings. Can't remember if it was this version or the John K. version though.

Wasn't this the Beany and Cecil pilot?

My Fave! Suprisingly even though Bob Clampett "Beanyland" was a spoof on Disneyland, Bob Clampett's aunt help created the first Mickey Mouse stuffed dolls. |
