the movie is about a barber who is married to a woman that a judge is in love with, so the judge arrests him on false charges, sends him to jail for 15 years, and rapes his wife. the barber comes back and changes his name to Sweeney Todd and swears vengance on the judge. story unfolds from there.

My sister (and the rest of the theatre) was absolutely mortified at this part of the movie, but I was laughing so hard at the puns. The audience thought I was a madwoman. This musical is great... I ran the idea past our drama teacher at school as a possiblility for next year's musical. I'm giving him ideas to make it non-graphic (like the 1982 broadway version) and I think he might go for it. I'd totally get the part of Lovett... I have the same crooked smile. :]

... Les Miserables.... by far, not that Sweeney Todd isn't a wonderful musical, but you can not beat Les Miserables
