how the heck could your friends hate Paul Kelly... be happy knowing you have better taste in music than them... he is the greatest songwriter in Australian history bar maybe Nick Cave...

similar story here, (my mum didnt die) but all my friends hate paul kelly but all his songs bring back the strongest childhood memories.i saw him at big day out and cried for nearly his entire set.

I was on stage with paul kelly while he sang this song in his cairns concert.. it was the best. he let me play air guitar with him. and i played drums with his drummer.. Cheers

I saw Paul in a tiny, but popular, venue in Los Angeles, Calfornia back in the mid/late 90s. It was a very cozy club so we were very, very close and the show was very intimate, as if he were singing to us in our own living room.He was awesome! and is arguably one of the best songwriters of his generation...So glad I didn't miss him~~~
