Johnny Ray was one of my mother's favorite singer, same as many ladies of the 50s; I heard the music and fell in love with Johnny and his singing style of puntuating sensual words with ultimate drama; wonderful and unique and the ladies went into a frenzy everywhere where he performed!!; long before Frank Sinatra and certainly long before Elvis Mr. Johnny Ray's gyrations and his holding his hands over his left ear and dramatic sining; he had the women conquered.
