Ahh ok thanks for the information! What I would like to do is add some extra beats/drums to existing tracks. I'll give it a try in Ableton Live.

What do you want to do, sync up an audio file to your midi clock? No, this time stretch method would not be ideal. Something like 'Ableton Live' is better suited for something like that. Of course once you've synced the song in Live, you can always export it for use in Cubase. (or just run Cubase/Live together via rewire);)
