I think that Identity crisis can happen if the child does not learn about there background it does not matter weather they are mixed or not. The one who will give them the most problems with there Identitys are people like Aayudh008 and vlaankaa with their views

how so I know plenty of mixed people as well as ones I went to school with and still know and they have no psychologic problems what so ever and and as far a darkskined mullatos against lightskined ones look at Rwanda you had Tutsi's who is anyone owning more than 10cows or have longer noses then there Hutu neighbours killing ea

Identity crisis can be a drawback of interacial relationships and there can be discrimination as you say. Nothing is foolproof but these relationships still do more to harmonise races because the offsppring usually come fom love, however there are always exceptions to the rules.

your union of 2 cultures have given your children an advantage over the average Joe. Its these mixed relationships that are harmonising people worlwide and Obama is evidence to this. I hope most people in future will be sensible and judge others and future lovers on personality and actions not race or creed. Some will not harmonise but its there loss.
