These three playing together is heaven, three geniuses!...love Roach's time keeping here,& that unmistakeable baseline, the only thing that could top this, would be seeing it in person!

Duke Ellington, an ageing jazz musician (not that Ellington can ever age), playing alongside Mingus and Roach, two of the greatest bebop artists history has ever produced, is pioneering. The album Money Jungle in its entirety is awe-inspiring. It demonstrates that Jazz, in its old sense, can move and accommodate with current musical developments. Everything about this song is incredible, it does what good music should do -- it touches you in a way that is indescribable. Absolutely awesome.
