what is the smoking gun of a coup? forget all the conspiracy theories. Take a close look at the policies before and after. In Vietnam, before Diem was assasinated, Diem vehemently opposed massive intervention by the US. After they killed him, Vietnam got massive intervention by american troops. In the US, before Kennedy was assasinated, in one of the last interviews he gave he said he was opposed to massive intervention of US troops in Vietnam. After he was killed....

and here are my reference- I spoke to Diem's relatives and the former mayor of Da Nang, who was a close ally of Diem. Diem was pretty careful when he chose a mayor for Da Nang, since it was so close to the DMZ.

Me thinks we are not talking about the same Diem. Who hates Diem? What war is going on? The war has been over for 33 years. Diem has been dead for 48 years. Diem was dead before the war escalated. Now, must I once again point out that you haven't given any reference to evidence to support your strange, illogical opinion, which in fact, makes your ideas propaganda. Well, they would be propaganda, if you could muster some support. LOL. So heres one I've been stewing over. Everyone hates Diem. Theres a whole war going on because of it. If he were such a good leader, you think that perhaps he'd have recognised his countries inability to win, and stand down instead of letting his people die?

Don't flatter yourself. If it weren't for the fact that my e-mail was getting clogged with your numerous replies, I wouldn't be here. Your not making me angry at all, I'm just that type of guy that will happily call you a dickhead if thats what you are. I think though that perhaps you are getting a little frustrated. Why else would you dedicate so much of your time to your replies?
