Didi u read what I wrote at the bottom of my comment I said I read this info in Mary Wilsons book My Life as a Supreme. Also I was wrong I recently found out that Paul Williams brought Diana to the group because in a video DIana Ross herself said that Paul came to Diana's house asking her parents if she could be in the group.

sry but I don't know about what shit you're talking. Florence came to Lupine trough the temptations and barbara. From there they went to motown.Florence underwrote a agreement and Berry showed Flo a list of which were around 10 names Flo took the supremes she said "I chosed the name because it was DIFFERENT and at this time we needed it" listen to the interview there she says it.Smokey lived in Diana's neigbourhood but do you ever head the interview where he tells the story of the supremes?

Florence did not get the group to Motown. Diana was the one who got them to motown through Smokey Robinson. Also she didnt found the group. Mary and florence met and made a pack that if one of them got a offer to sing they would go and get the other. Then Mary borught on her friend Diane. One last thing Florence did not choose the name she thought of t he name herself and MAry and Diana thought of names for the group too. They just ended up going with the name Supremes.
