Bob Dylan has written some of the best songs ever. His music stands the test of time. To see Dylan walk out is fantastic. I was lucky to see him live. He was a huge influence on so many people and songwriters. He taught songwriters such as myself to write songs that mean something. His sure did!

one more comment on this. I guess the thing that really bugs me about it is they covered this song as their first single only like 2 years after dylan recorded it. atleast cover an older song. maybe a song by an influence of yours.

that whole thing about dylan wouldnt show up unless he loved them. thats bull you can see up above this was a benefit for Roy Orbison Im assuming thats why dylan did it. the middle of this performance is so awkward. pushing dylan on the mic. you can tell hes like wtf. like he just wanted to blend in not be a center of attention

Ok you got me on that...I love the stones...but it doesn't make it right. the stones proved themselves to the world. I dont think the bryds even come close to the stones or elvis. Crosby is a cool guy. hes the only one i like in this band

I was there that night, it was a benefit concert for the great Roy Orbison who had just passed on, the Byrds were closing the show and I already felt like I'd gotten my moneys worth and then Bob Dylan entered the stage and my eyes almost came out of my head I couldn't believe what I was seeing is this for real.... The best thing was the money for this concert went to help the home less. A night I will always remember.

Ever hear of an outfit called the Rolling Stones? They didn't write their first single, and most of the first 3 albums were covers. Elvis didn't write his first either.
