Al-righty! Last of the southern rock boys playing their rock ballad anthem. Guitar man Jeff Carlisi channeling Devo/Rick Neilsen/California Road workers. Love it!

Can you tell me a song where he does this?

Thanks. I guess it would help if I replaced the 25 year-old Hohner guitar I play with. It is worn out.

pinch harmonic, artificial harmonic....take the pick pluck the string and allow your thumb that is holding the pick to kinda bump the plucked string at the same time.. a good humbucker will make it sing and you can get different pitches too... great effect!.38 Special best southern rock band of them all!

The pinch is actually called chirping the string if youll listen to REO Speedwagon'Gary Richrath he's famous for doing it its fairly easy choke up on the pick.

I had and maybe still have the VHS of this complete show. It's probably 20 years old.

I still don't get it. What is a "pinch"?????? I know who and where Jeff is. What is this "pinchy" thing??

LOL... you asked if Donnie Van Zandt is really playing his guitar. My point is, he's pretty much in the band because of his last name (popular brother), not his abilities on vocals or guitar.
