Playing the faster Bach pieces are a great finger exercise for guitar players and other instrumentalists. Bach pieces have been transcribed for nearly every instrument for this purpose. Bach is part of the standard repertoire of both pianists and classically-trained guitarists, and even some self-taught rock guitarists (Malmsteen being the leading example - he professes his love for Bach all over the place).
