surely either the electrolysis requires more energy via electricity than it produces, or this violates the first law of thermodynamics.

yeah. I know. if this were all that there would be more of a headline than this anyway. You use more power to create the HHO than you get from using it.

I talked to Hydrogen Technology today...They claim that they will begin manufacturing themselves in 2008. Anybody got any info. on this company & it's direction?

There's no such thing as a free lunch. The electrolysis requires a considerable amount of power to generate the Oxyhydrogen gas. Its been around for years (1820s for limelighting), someone keeps on bringing it up every decade or so, as being the all new fuel source... |
