Actually your the Idiot. DX10 is not compatible with XP, and Microsoft has no plans on implementing it either. You can run the game in XP, but you will not get the Dx10 features. The game will work with both, but it's not going to look like this video unless your on Vista with a Dx10 card. Xp is a little better with games now, but that is going to change once Microsoft implements smart compliance in Vista.

no you can't. dx10 details on a dx9 card will look like a slideshow i read somewhere. go incrysis forums for more stuff.

I dont think thats necessarily true, this video is demonstrating the cry2 engine, not directx 10. I think all directx 10 does is revert alot of the other required calculations to the gpu instead of the cpu because of the power the new directx 10 video cards can do, allowing the cpu to do other processes. So I think you can still get similar results running in directx 9, but with the reduced performance. |
