Your comment is a good one! Its so different today and I agree the indie music dept is the one to pay attention too! If your gonna bring back old styles, why not funk and blues, AMERICA NEEDS MORE FUNK AND BLUES BANDS THAT ROCK!

Bingo ! Today it's all about covers and repetition. Would someone tell me how much longer the hip-hoppers can get off on the arm-swaying yeeeah, yeeeah, yeeeah's ? The posturing and hand flips ? Geezuz, that garbage has been dragged out for far too long - kill me now....

I think there is some truth to what you are getting at. Record companies push a lot of copycat bands these days and actors are singing too. Bands in the 1970s and 1980s understood music as a whole back. A lot of bands today learn a few power chords and think its enough to get by. Maybe they mix in some hip hop. Indie bands are more interesting of today's music. Pop music of today is awful. Its boy bands, Disney Stars, rock clones, and pop divas.

I don't understand you guys, who say that music today is not good as it was... This used to be one of my fave band in the 80's, but now we have so much more choice and genres of what we want to hear, just dig a little bit, you'll find all kinds of great bands that really commit themselves to create inspiring and compelling songs...

ONE OF THE GREATEST BAND OF THE 80's along with U2, The Cure , Wild Swans, REM and many more I hope today some of the aspiring artist of the music industry can at least be sounds like them I hope
