I'm pretty sure it wasn't suppose to be a comedy. What didn't make sense??? There's a virus called Geostigma going aroundand 3 dudes are trying to find Jenova because they believe it's their "Mother".

The story was so fucking weak it wasn't even funny, barely made sense. The CG was pretty... but as far as being a decent sequel to VII it sucked hard core.
