there just genres that help people find new bands that they like, artists dont usually define themselves as any genre but people do to kind of organize what they like. yea it can be pretty stupid but its helpful when u need it. but i think its stupid when people judge music before they hear it

are you serious?! they're punk...they're emo WHO CARES?! it's you ppl like you that put so much emphasis on this invisible line of division that ruins the artists' song. AFI or mostly any other band out there doesn't care if they're songs are emo or punk or whatever. they just care that ppl enjoy their songs. so if they artist don't care about shit like that why should we?
