listen to this video and to an other one, still by callas, few years ago... and you will understand that this one is not her best performance. of course, if you hear other performances, by other diva, you ll notice that the young maria callas is the best.

What an idiot he was! He married Jackie and then all he did was fight with her. Callas didn't realize she ESCAPED!! I've listened to singers more perfect and more purely beautiful, but none who can move me like she does! Her ability to communicate with her audience transcends any imperfection!

I agree - she didn't have the best voice in terms of pure vocal quality but it was damn good and she invested her music with more feeling than any other singer - you hear her voice and you know its her. She's not my favorite but I wouldn't deny she's in the top 10 greats of all time.

You all make me laugh !You really think that you can critique Maria Callas !Look how many hits this clip has still so many years after her death.There is not and never will be anyone who can touch her.Even this clip is " real" she lived and died for her loves Onasis and her voice. |
