This has so few to do with Collin's song: except the 3 chords melody and the "I can feel it in the air tonight"... Collin's song is great IN ITS STYLE. This one is amazing IN ITS STYLE.

I mean Phil Collins is still the artist of this piece of art . . . he wrote it and its original his song. But I don't say the other versions (covers) are bad they are uniqeu on their own way

The live version in the train in Paris was the first version I heard, so to me this version sounds quite unnecessary. That one on the train was so good, and it could have been a music video, with the way it was shot. (if the video quality was better)

It's not about who did it better or who did it best or who did it first, second or third. It's about artistic interpretation! It's about do like this version or not. It's about personal choice or preference which is one of the things that makes this world a good place to be. You are right, nobody can sing it like P.C! and you know what, I really don't think they where trying to? Live and let live. Don't Hatin.'
