I can't respect someone who's against abortion "except in the case of rape or incest." If you think "life begins at conception," what difference does it make how that conception happened? Does the embryo "have rights" only if its conception was enjoyable for the mother? When a "pro-lifer" makes an exception for rape, that person is revealing that they don't care so much about the "life" of the fetus, as about regulating and punishing sexual activity.

You are wrong on both accounts. Its perfectly acceptable to call ID 'unscientific' due to the complete lack of scientific evidence and peer review and their proponents failure to apply their ideas to the scientific method. And regarding your second point, given said lack of scientific evidence for ID, it has precisely the same merits as flat earth and astrology.

Cindy really botched the Roe V Wade question. Did she not understand what over-turning the decision meant? She looks so puzzled when she's addressing it.

The very few testable hypotheses of ID HAVE been disproven ... most of the claims are not provable or disprovable. Michael Behe himself said if ID is science, then so is astrology.fail.

the people that wrote the bible didnt know what fetus was. What verse speaks against the 'murder of what will be a human being'?

"both sides" ... I hate how they pretend creationism is a "side". What religious myth would you teach? What form of creationism would be put into the curriculum? There is evolution on one side, and all of the religions of the world with varying creation stories on the other ... and the latter is not a scientific side so I dont even see what the debate is about. |
