I liked the symbolism of the lotus flower, I never knew why the lotus was so widely used as a spiritual symbol.

Career? The only career sexuals are pornographers. Or prostitutes. Or pimps.AIDS didn't start with homosexuals, and it's not a disease particular to homosexuals, my friend; AIDS is the result of HIV, which can travel from person to person regardless of whether you're gay, or straight, or descended from the English Throne, or pray to Jesus, Ganesha, or Allah. My point is that you can't blame someone else for being what they are. Each person is different; explore diversity, my friend.

True, but we don't make a career out of playing with feces unlike homosexuals. AIDS should have been the wake up call. However like most warnings to gays, falls on deaf ears.

"You call having sex with another man's ass and his feces something to be proud of?"...women have feces too...Perhaps one should worry about one's own actions instead of those of another.

His name was not "Shakyamuni". This title was given to him later. It means "the sage of the Shakya clan". His name as a child was Siddhattha (Pali) or Siddhartha (Sanskrit). That is my understanding of it, anyway.

Yes it is for the monks to maintain their pureness. However, one could make the notion that since you are looking for purity and guidance, those rules should apply. It's no different than being a Christian and asking God for forgiveness for acting out the homosexual sin and then commit the same offense twice. The more you surrender yourself to the impure acts and motions, the less relevant any religion, Buddhism included, will be, as you are now God.

If you cannot figure out the shame of having two grown men having sex with each other, then you are in need of help that I cannot give, only God can or Buddha can. Either way, my point was, for all of your crying about homosexuality and your opposition to women, you act like one in the acts you commit.
