no its not.you should read up on the history.ska is derived from rocksteady which is in turn derived from reggae.the first song said to combine the elements is punky reggae party by bob marley

nah man i'm not trying to say anythings punk or not punk i'm just mentioning like a hypocrisy in the whole punk genre... i mean i wasn't trying to seem rude nothing man, and if you don't like it man no one can tell you what to like, i personally do like this music though. lol and ska and reggae are so close to the same it don't really matter. especially if check out bands like the specials and stuff like that
