I'm from the bay area, San Francisco and as a youngster in the mid-70s, I'd catch "Chiller Diller" at noon on KTVU, Channel 2 on the weekend.

This is the opening of Chiller from the 1970's on WPIX 11The original opening of Chiller Theatre was a 30 second film clip with movies Plan 9, Attack of the 50 foot Woman, The Amazing Colossal Man and Killers from Outer Space and one of a gorilla and another of 2 ghouls fighting....with a theme that did frighten kids......

Bet that PiX will do it all over again monthly until the ratings tank, which is what DID happen all those years ago. "Chiller" will wear out its welcome, just like all trends, and on that thought, let's kill Ugly Radio, kill rap, kill reality TV. Those are three trends that have had life spans three times longer than the better trends, such as soul music, psychedelic music, TV movies, "Chiller Theatre", "Creature Features"! Culture is such a tenuous thing ...

I know; but I'm just happy as Larry they did this AT ALL, so I can't complain!!! I didn't see this, my neph taped it for me, and I didn't go to the '05 Cream concerts either, but I'm glad they did it all the same! I remember all the comments left at the Cream site, like PiX's: "Clapton didn't use his Marshall amps!" "Clapton played like a bum!" "Clapton didn't improv like the old days!!!" and so on. IT AIN'T 1968, YA CAN'T GO HOME AGAIN, but we DO remember!
