Why in the hell do clowns like ahmelmahe get on Youtube simply to bitch at everyone else's performance? Oh, and compare them unfavorably to their won. If I hated the playing as much as they claim, I wouldn't waste my time trying to inform the populace about the do's and don'ts of Tutti or how THEY played the same instrument. Jeez! I heard Dubois in a concert the other night - favulous as usual.

I don't need to check myself. I stand by my statements; both of them. You talk Tutti. I talk soul. In my humble opinion, Vincent is not there. Maybe some day.

If my memory serves me right, Daniel Roth used Tutti for the ending of this piece when I saw him last summer on the same organ...so I would check yourself ahmelmahe

Sorry I made a mistake, the man wearing the white shirt is Johann Vexo who is just an assistant and the other man with the glasses is Michel Goussu.

Now if we could replace Cameron Carpenter with Vincent Dubois, I think we'd be better off, Dubois's playing shows much greater maturityy than does Carpenter's.

In the event that I did not make myself clear, the "abortionist" organist I refer to is Mr.Dubois! Daniel Roth is not simply a great organist and musician - Daniel Roth is THE GREATEST OF THE GREAT organists, both living and past!! He, his instrument, the venue and the soul of the composer meld into one. Just keep your eyes on Roth's face, his body movements, hands and feet - Roth is in an absolute trance. I'm considered great - Danial is light-years ahead of me.

I've played that Coll many times, and I didn't have to kill to do so. With regard to your understanding of the tonality of that instrument within the Sulpice acoustical architecture - your playing was an absolute abortion. There's no need to have blood shoot out of the listeners ears. You played like Diane Bish, (The First Lady Of The Crescendo Pedal), on crack. Hopefully, your playing will mature as you mature. |
