dude how wud it ruin it. u no wut ruins the unholy? amon amarth, COB and in flames. im not saying theyre bad bands belive me i fkin love them but they contribute death metal to a metal tour. slayer is the main band in the unholy alliance and to me they dont breed death metal style. they dont scream like aa and the others. i just think maybe slayer and mastodon should do their own tour and cob aa and in flames should do their own death tour. anyhow, theyre all unholy, perfectly suitable for UA

I haven't heard much else form Mastodon but if everything is this quality, then I'm hooked. And there is a reason Joshua Homme is featured, he's great. But remember, the people that choose the Grammy's don't always consider the entire musical collection. They only choose from music released that year. Their early stuff may not have had the same impact, or been a bit too ahead of it's time.

Its kind of sad because Colony Of Birchmen is probably one of the worst songs from Mastodon. But I guess it proves everything. They decided to make a simple rock song with some guest vocals from J.Homme, and voila! Instant Grammy! I swear, they have tons of better songs than this.

a fan is a fan idiot. The only thing different between fans is how they found the band and how they found it doesn't make them different from you
