Laimbeer was a punk. He was tough as long as he had someone to hide behind once it started. He had at least 30 pounds on Bird, if not more, and he was the one backing away.

Bird was as bad as Gretzky...all talk and no action when it gets a bit rough. Takes a real man to throw a ball from 20 feet away...remember, little by little the Pistons would get the Celtics. Look at that score: 122-104. In today's piece of shit NBA, it would take 3 OT's to score that many points. And don't talk shit about how defenses are much tougher. Did you see Laimbeer thrash Bird? It was much rougher back then and you got punished if you took it to the hole. Today's players just can't shoot.
