Eulogy on Betty Paluga AN AMAZING LEGACYBy: Nathaniel PalugaHello. My name is Nathaniel Paluga. I am the last male "Paluga" descendant through the lineage of John and Betty Paluga.Thank you all for allowing me to say a few words about my grandmother.First of all, it is an honor to be surrounded by so many beautiful individuals who have come here to celebrate the wonderful life of this incredible woman.Look around...Betty Paluga has left a truly Amazing Legacy: 8 children, 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. And the Amazing Legacy is still continuing to grow.I am very proud to be a part of the lineage of her Amazing Legacy.Because of her myself, and many others here, have inherited the most important gift in the world.A gift that is so much more than genetics, physical attributes or mannerisms, from her we have been bestowed the Ultimate Gift: the gift of life.Because of Betty Paluga I am alive.Because of Betty Paluga so many others, right here among us today, are alive.It is a simple fact that had it not been for Betty Paluga and the choices that she has made, the generations here and now, and their offspring to come, could not be.Dozens and dozens of people would not be alive had it not been for her.Not without sacrifice, she has handed out a part of herself to each and every one of her descendants.With great admiration I wish to say...Thank you, Betty Paluga.Thank you for your life.Thank you for my life.Thank you for the many lives of your descendants.And as decedents we owe her our lives, because without hers we would not be.How can we pay her back for the Ultimate Gift, the gift of life that she has given us?Perhaps one can never truly pay another back for the Ultimate Gift, the gift of life.But I for one can acknowledge that a part of her is still alive within me, and all of her descendants, and I can respect and honor this part, just as we are all doing here today.Thank you grandma, for the Ultimate Gift you have given to me and to so many others.And Grandma, contrary to what others may say, you are not dead.You are vibrantly alive in your Beautiful and Amazing Legacy.Thank You.
