WhY So Serious ?The Dark Knight is a 2008 American superhero film co-written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film is part of Nolan's Batman film series and a sequel to 2005's Batman Begins. Christian Bale reprises the lead role. The plot of the film focuses on Batman's fight against a new villain, the Joker (Heath Ledger) and his relationships with district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) and his old friend and love interest assistant D.A. Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal). For his conception of the film, Nolan was inspired by the Joker's first two appearances in the comics and Batman: The Long Halloween. The Dark Knight was filmed primarily in Chicago, as well as in several other locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. He used an IMAX camera to film some sequences, including the Joker's first appearance in the film.Warner Bros. created a viral marketing campaign for The Dark Knight, developing promotional websites and trailers highlighting screenshots of Ledger as the Joker. After Ledger's death in January 2008, however, the studio refocused its promotional campaign.[3][4] The film was released on July 16, 2008 in Australia, on July 18, 2008 in North America, and on July 24, 2008 in the United Kingdom. Prior to its box office debut in North America, record numbers of advance tickets were sold for The Dark Knight. The film broke multiple box office records and was greeted by critical acclaim upon release.[5]Batman aborde une phase décisive de sa guerre au crime.

I agree with the first person to comment the Spanish dubbing is a bit better, but the English joker was just brilliant!!!

Futhermore as I said before, dubbing films is not right for the actors making the roles. Maybe people like You are just having trouble with reading subtitles. If that is true, no wonder You like dubbed films. I on the other hand really like to watch the original, naturally played movies. Part of an actors job is to set up a specific voice. And trust me, on that little video I watched here on youtube, somebody just got it all wrong. Watch the orginal TDK.

Glaurung000... You got my post totally wrong as it seems. I just said that films should be in their orignal languages.I dont expect anything from anybody. Its not like I havent seen dubbed movies in my language. Well, I have. All of them have been horrible( Harry Potters and Star Wars). Now see, that is not Ledgers voice. That does not sound natural and infact sounds really bad. And my little "Germany story" was just an example. You dont have to go all arrogant about that.

Who gives a shit about you in germany seriously. You expect people to speak english when you visit their country, but you expect them to speak english too when they visit your own country. People enjoy seeing dubbed film, it just sound more natural. Each actor have a designated dubber for all his movie, so for us, it IS Ledger voice...

The thing is, the audio suck (and therefore the translation timing) cause it's a TS. It was filmed in cinema.

cool le tour^^

The point is not to translate movies at all. Its nonsense. Just make french/german/spanish (or where ever You're from) subtitles. Makes watching movies experience a whole lot better. Oh and besides when You're in a different country (visiting or whatever) and You dont know the language, You cant go and see a movie because its directed only that countries speaking audience. Like I couldnt watch BBegins when I was in Germany cause of the translation. Subtitles work just great.

BTW i'm french ^^
methodcobra (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
that's maybe because this was translate for the french canadian audience. You have to know, in each country they are all translate. But i'll don't think they will translate it in french, if you're from Poland ^^.
