She showed what a wonderful lady she is by purposefully dancing along the front of the stage for me in Glasgow c. 1979 approx.- what a beautiful body - a great memory, a beautiful human being!

Thanks, Ross. She is such a huge part of my life. As I said above she has literally sung me thru my life---"One of These Days" was the song I hung on too when my marriage was falling apart. "Calling My Children Home" is a song dear to me since all the kids have grown up. And "Happiness" is a song I used to make a little see thru box for my daughter with the items in it she mentioned (Here's a wishing well, here's a penny too----etc) since she loves Emmy too. It is a family affair now!

I don't think that that is your imagination. The Rock and Roll Emmylou that we used to see bouncing all over the stage is long gone. With gram's death emerged a thoughtful beautiful EmmyLou, able to evoke deep sadness and loss. She only gets better with time.

Qué bien cantas, Emmylou.

This is not Emmy in 1975, and not the "original hot band". We see Frank Reckard and Barry Tashian, who were later, much later, hot band members. And by the way, Gaakgong, I think you might be sentimentalizing just a bit about Emmy not rocking-happy after Gram's death. She not only has rocked but rocked quite a bit harder. Have you heard the "shop around" medley? This woman has a depth and a variety of expression that transcends but includes any personal trajedy.

Emmy Lou seemed to change so much after Gram's death. I know she loved him deeply, but you never see the "rocking - happy" Emmy Lou that she was in the beginning with Gram. Is that my imagination, or is it fact?

No one is better than Emmy Lou. She has song me thru my life, literally. I love her.

I believe this is Emmylou's most intense & beautifull version ever. Good recording by the way.
