in case there is some sort of confusion about this....it was Jimmy Fallon's fault. He started cracking up (as he does in pretty much all his skits; see "More Cowbell") after the first trumpet cue. He then caused them all to lose it when the trombone cue was early. I'm not saying blowing the scene is a bad thing.....this is one of the funniest SNL moments.
