CW program: Morse Runner

This is a 6-minute clip that explains what CW ham operators do during a contest - what they hear and what they send in Morse code (they usually have WAY more stations calling them - for this tutorial I lowered the number of stations to a maximum of 3 to simplify things). Mostly for newbies...The intro is taken from YYZ (Rush instrumental that you can find at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... )

cw contest are fun and diferent! i use wineqf contest program for loging and i use just about any decent cw read only program to receive the fast ones.(i could copy up to 25 wpm by ear) computers are not 100 percent like the human ear but these kinds of program help a lot. but when it comes to qrm,qsb or qrn computer readers have to take a back seat. but nothing like contestin to get that speed up!

Indeed, I could have used the keys to tune my receive on him but decided not to as I would not have had enough space to explain what I was doing...

I see you already talked about RIT. And my time mark should have been 3:00.

FYI: When that 9A5 was calling off freq at 2:25, you could have used the left/right arrow keys (or maybe it's up/down) to tune your receiver.
