I don't know why I looked this up, but I did. Maybe I was in need of inspiration from a childhood friend that I almost forgot. While watching his show as a child, I felt like I was there in his house with him and he was talking with me and only me. We were friends through the vibe of television and I could have met him personally and he would know me.I may look like a tough guy on the outside today, but I literally shed a few tears after watching this.Thank you, Fred Rogers.

Sometimes, when the fearful, fearsome world swamps me into loneliness, I dig around online for things he said or clips from his show. What surprises me most is to find nooks like this, filled with other neighbors, and I'm no longer alone. The amount of people clamoring for his wisdom in this moment of history astounds and cheers me. We need to (and can!) do our best to each be a little more neighborly, like Mr. Rogers. His radical, powerful compassionate vision can sustain us through hard times.

These days a lot of people, including our president, call themselves good, moral Christians. Sorry, but they have NOTHING on Mr. Rogers. He was simply a great person, no questions asked.

Mr. Rogers was and will always be a blessing to this world. This world is a better place because he was in it. God truly gave this world a blessing when he gave us Fred Rogers.
