Oh how monotonous.Still no evidence, just a load of conjecture!Dave.

The strong predominance of anthropogenic forcing (mainly CO2) in global warming is documented by hundreds of independent reports, but a recent paper further reinforces this conclusion with model-independent data indicating a >90% anthropogenic component, with no recent solar component. The paper has been discussed in exchanges below, but those interested in drawing their own conclusions rather refereeing YouTube arguments can read it online - Google "Lean Rind 2008" and download the pdf file.

Funny thing... Judith Lean is listed on Exxonsecrets as a denier because "Dr. Lean spoke at a 1999 NEPI workshop about the role of solar input and solar cycles on climate change."Gotta love the irony in that.

"Finally, it does not, Gufpott, demand near instantaneous response to solar variation, as readers will see."The solar irradiance series cycles in roughly 11 year intervals. No smoothing or storage due to the complex climate system. The well prepared "index" of 8 anthropogenic influences (including snow albedo!) follows a smoothly rising curve.grastog - if you need this to help your case, it is clear that you'll grope around for anything to support your deeply entrenched mindset.

Lean Rind 2008 appear to be following the crowd as far as aerosols go. the world would be so much warmer without man placing particles in the air would it not. so where are the particles put in the air for the most part? my guess would be the industrialized northern hemisphere. and where are the coolest temperatures? the southern hemisphere? wait, how does that work? they have a compass and fly down to the southern hemisphere just as fast as they can? almost makes me think we have this all wrong

On January 13, at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, Bjørn Lomborg, Peter Huber (Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute), and I will be debating the motion Major reductions in carbon emissions are not worth the money with Daniel Kammen, Oliver Tickell, and Adam Werbach in one of the now famous blockbuster IQ2 U.S. debates. The moderator will be John Donvan, correspondent for ABC News Nightline, |
