Simply amazing. I envy the people that got to see such astonishing performances live. Recording Technology of the 1950's can only give us a glimpse of what they sounded like (Caruso, Lanza).

Mario lanza has got to be among the top three greatest tenors in the world. (No one can really say who is number 1 and 2).I'm surprised he didn't make it to the met. I mean the only slight flaw in his voice is that he sometimes over covers his high notes above a G, but I almost like them better like that because then the volume and intensity are not so much that it gives you a head ache.

I agree, Lanza had the greatest tenor voice ever, no one can compare to his voice it is flawless, lanza also had a volume that shamed the Met. Tenors of his or anytime1bowles
