i love this song, me and one of my friends just did this song for the talent show. i played the piano part and she sang

she is singing to her dead father. the whole song is basically about her wishing she could see her father again. "you were once my one companion" her mother dies at child birth so her father was the only one she had. but she thinks the phantom is her father singing to her towards the end.

I think Christine is saying goodbye to the Phantom. He control her but she don´t understand it until now.

stupid question..but is she singing to her father saying goodbye to HIM, or somehow saying goodbye to the phantom but at her father's grave?? or singing to both? and she's singing this as an effort to put an end to the all the madness, right?
