YAY!! Good for you for standing up like that. I've never been questioned for calling myself australian, but your accent says it all and if you were born here, well you're just as much an aussie as I am.

I had to deal with the exact same thing! Except it wasn't just limited to Asians, it was also any non-white - when we played Spice Girls I was ALWAYS scary spice, I mean I was as much black as any of the white girls I was playing with... Infact they were more like her heritage than mine since at least she's half white! argh whatever.

ye your australian..but asian australian. Accept it and be proud because thats what you'll always be. You'll never be white (not saying that you want to) Just don't forget your roots and your heritage. Be proud of your ancestors, background and culture. Don't be a sell out like so many stupid Asian girls out there.
