OK, these guys are closer to the Stones rock than they are to the Stooges. This band is a speck compared to the genius of Sticky Fingers, so lets not even go there. Grohl has good taste in music - Killing Joke, Scratch Acid etc, but he obviously hasn't let any of it creep into his own blandass material, and this band is in the same boring mold. You dont have to be a virtuoso, but you have to have good songs or an original sound. This band has NEITHER, nor do the Poo Lighters.

The RealCritique, Grohl gets it, you don't. The stooges weren't virtuoso musicians either; they had (and EoDM have) what matters when you're in a "70's pose": attitude. Get off your high horse and try enjoying music for a change, dipshit. They're ripping off Sticky Fingers way more than Funhouse anyway - Jesse openly admits as much in interviews.

They suck. Sure, I would like the backing this band has, and yes the singer has balls to get on stage. That's all good. The problem is that THEY SUCK ASS. There is NO demonstrated virtuousity on any instrument, and there is nothing remarkable in the songwriting. They are a bad 70s pose, period. They aren't within spitting distance of Iggy and the Stooges, who they're ripping off. My grade four musical knowledge far exceeds any cultist who thinks this is a good band.
