I doubt hese that old though, I think the abundance of cattle in the area is what led to its abnormal sise. It is probably verry old though.

Ok, if I could I would remove the comment but Youtube does not have that feature. People arent noticing it because Im sure it has a fear of people, thats the only way it could have grown to that sise. Ill put it like this when on the compact sand bank it was on when I saw it, its body was about 4 feet from the ground at its thickest point, it was shocking to say the least.

why the hell would you encourage someone to shoot it? If it's as big as you say it is then it must be pushing 110 years old maybe? Don't you think the guy has earned the right to live on his patch? He's not taking people and obviously the local ranchers aren't noticing him so leave him alone.Poor gator, he's an old fella in his habitat.

I dont know, Im not a big fan of gators or snakes. I doubt shooting it would have done much though, it was that massive. There are lots of free range cattle in that area and Im betting it eats them. I thought it was part of the river bank as I walked up to it because my mind did not even register it as possibly being an alligator, it was that massive, plus honestly, that thing is scary even to me, and Im a certified maniac!

Ok to all gator hunters in Central Florida. Im going to give you guys a priceless tip. There is a massive 16-17 foot long alligator living in the St. Johns river in the Toschocatchee state park area. I saw it on the river bank getting sun in the winter. I t could easily be the biggest gator left in the wild. There are many cows in the area and Im guessing its feeding on them. Im not the only one who has seen it. I promise you Im not kidding, I would have shot it if I had a gun on me.
