Islam has used the knowledge of the ancient greeks as a starting point. It built and improved on the work of older thinkers. It finally passed on all this knowledge to the western civilization. Therfore islamic scientists fuinctioned as:1. preservers of the knowledge of the older civilizations 2. builders and improvers of science 3.passers of science to other civilizations.

In comparison to other religions, islam is considered young. However 1500 years is not a short time. Whether islam is young or not is not important, its messages are what matter.

What do you think is ancient: One of the oldest religion in the world, or the youngest relegion in the world? The difference between those religions is at least 2000 years. So if you can call Islam ancient, then what do you call the older religions? |
